Steve Mehallo

 

Art director, graphic designer, illustrator, font designer, game developer, educator, foodie, gadfly and founder of FLOMM Modern.

 

He has over 20 years communications experience in graphic design, illustration, brand development, advertising, publishing and font design.His multi-industry background includes technology, retail, accounting, health care, insurance, legal, staffing, publishing, music, fashion, philanthropy, education and the arts, among others. Clients have included The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Microsoft, Nike, Netscape, TiVo, Monotype, The Learning Company and many more.

His work has been recognized by the Western Art Directors Club, featured in HOW Magazine Communication Arts. He previously served as Assistant Creative Director for Robert Half International Inc., was a past president of the Art Directors and Artists Club of Sacramento. ​He has organized small and large art events, talks, workshops, tours and curated contemporary design exhibitions in the Sacramento region. Steve has taught design courses at UC Davis, Santa Clara University, University of the Pacific, The Art Institute of California and American River College.

 

I’ll often bring up Stephen Fry in the classroom (and mention his incredible Gutenberg documentary for the BBC) but very few students have heard of him. Then I mention Hugh Laurie and House, then draw the connection to Fry and Laurie and—just let things happen.”

Tim Huynh

 

Creative consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the design industry. Strong entrepreneurship professional skilled in Logo Design, Animation, Graphic Design, Web, and Print Design, Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign CC.

Tim has sixteen years of experience in the industry starting and managing several design businesses including Napkin Communications and ASIR Visual Marketing. ASIR Visual Marketing is a visual communications and marketing firm aimed to help the client elevate their brand and has relationships with clients throughout northern California and the Bay Area. They are passionate about their craft and pride themselves on originality and creativity specializing in print and web design, multimedia, 3D & conceptual modeling. ASIR has achieved successful solutions by developing strategic marketing plans that are typically implemented in phases whether it’s for a whole new business branding or just a logo identity design. They help fill in the visual communication gap between vision and brand perception. Samples of his work can be seen here.
 

Tim is also the Graphic Design and Marketing Coordinator at San Joaquin Delta College, helping the Marketing department win numerous design awards at the regional, state and national level. They have won over 13 design and marketing awards in less than 3 years, including a National Paragon Award for Best Publication Design from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) earlier this year.
